Book Club for Babies:

A time for Moms to connect with other new parents, share a cup of tea (or coffee) and listen to an age-appropriate story with their babies. Each week we will discuss ideas for having fun and interacting with your baby---stories, games, music, outings. You will have an opportunity to meet other parents and discuss your challenges with a new baby and share helpful ideas. Your baby's library will grow with each class since you will be going home with a board book of the day's story.

Mondays (class is best for non-crawling babies, 3 months +)

January 2012: new format - Six classes will be offered in this series--sign up for 1 to 6 of these classes, choose the dates that best suit your schedule. If you register for less then 6 classes, I will email you for class dates you will be attending.

Toddler Book Club:

Toddler Book Club: OK, you asked for it, and here it is: Toddler Book Club, Thursdays 10:15-11am. We'll share the book of the day and a related craft or activity, as well as music & giggles. With a greater understanding of the world around them we can now delve a bit deeper into books and acitivites with toddlers. Best for 18 month to 2 years old, with parent. Class meets for 5 consecutive weeks. I will not be able to offer make-up classes, but will hold the book of the week for you if you should miss a class!

Happy Bébé Infant Massage
Infant Massage is a tradition in many cultures that is recognized for its physical, emotional, social and intellectual benefits. The time that is set aside for a baby’s massage is quality, focused time for caregiver and baby to interact and learn to communicate with one another using verbal and non-verbal cues. The Happy Bébé Infant Massage Class is an enjoyable way to promote this non-verbalcommunication and bonding with your baby.

In the class, you will learn simple techniques and massage strokes that are relaxing and beneficial for both you and your little one. The strokes you will be using are the same strokes that generations of parents all over the world have used – a core curriculum that was developed by the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) which incorporates Swedish Massage and Reflexology methods as well as Yoga postures and poses that are specifically adapted for babies. Massaging your baby is a tactile translation of love, security and physical comfort - adding your special touch will allow you to massage your baby as no one else can.

In the Happy Bébé Infant Massage Class you will learn about interactive communication and nurturing massage in a comfortable and supportive environment. After learning about the history and benefits of infant massage, you will observe Keela, a certified IAIM educator, perform the massage techniques on a doll and you will then perform the strokes on your own babies (or a doll for expecting parents). Through repetition, you will become more and more confident with the strokes. Each of you will you will be given the valuable information needed to make massage an important part of your family’s life now and for years to come and a Happy Bébé Tool Kit that includes - massage oil, small towel, tissues and instruction and informational materials.
